Van Gogh’s Van Goghs: Masterpieces from the Van Gogh Museum, Amsterdam, currently mounted at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art’s new West Wing (the onetime May Company Building on Wilshire) is a chronological overview of the artist’s career as a painter, comprising seventy works from 1882 to 1890.
